On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of French-German friendship, the German Honorary Consul, the French Honorary Consul and the Alliance Française of Chiang Mai invite you to an exhibition and film screening.
18:30 – screening of the movie Comrade Couture:
The Movie is in German with English and Thai subtitles – 82 min.
Entrance fee: 150 THB/person
Comrade Couture is an ARTE-production and will be introduced by the director, Marco Wilms.
“The documentary from former East German model Wilms gathers lively archival footage of East Germany’s vibrant underground fashion scene of the 1980s—some shot clandestinely—and intersperses it with interviews of colleagues who have adapted, each in their own particular way, to being “free” in a reunified Germany.“
20:00 – opening venue provided by the German Honorary Consulate:
Food and drinks will be served at reasonable prices. Special only on the opening day: German Curry Sausage.
Anytime from 18:30 – exhibition:
The photo exhibition shows shots from the film, but also, in contrast, official fashion shots from that time.
The photo exhibition is free and will be hosted by the Alliance Française from Saturday, February 4, to Thursday, February 23.
