In the hidden history of Asia, the contemporary woodcut printmaking process represents the social issues, includes Lu Xun’s printmaking movement in China, Huang Rong Chan’s anonymous work “Terror Check” in Taiwan, and Indonesian rebelled against totalitarianism in the 1990s, which has evolved over the years into the activist woodcut artists or art groups in Asia today.
“Printmaking Collective” it means multiple people make and print the works, through this process, we can share our opinion of issues, discuss and share the experiences while creating the works.
We are two members of Taiwan’s printmaking collective- “Print & Carve dept.” We will hold a workshop in Chiangmai, and we’ll bring some woodblocks from our community to support Thai mob, we can exchange stories/ experiences or just hang out, then produce a communal large prints together!

The participants can print and bring the works back. Furthermore, we will bring the prints back to Taiwan to introduce the issues of Thailand to more people.
