‘The Backs of Women’ exhibition
In occasion of the Women Historical Month and International
Women Day, to celebrate a global women rights movement,
Studio 88 Artist Residency in partnership with Siamaya and
Weave Artisan Society, is organizing “The Backs of Women”
exhibition by Ruth Cohen, 4 th – 26 th March 2023. The exhibition
opening reception and women empowerment talk will be on
Wednesday, 8 th March 2023, 17.00-19.00 at Siamaya Chocolate
Factory Flagship Store, Weave Artisan Society.

“Icebound” Art Exhibition

on 12 – 31 January 2023 starting 17:00

at Weave Artisan Society

An Exhibiton of Frozen Images created by Annelie Hendriks.
You are invited to the opening of the exhibition ‘Icebound’ on the 12 th of January 5 pm.
The exhibited photographs are divided into two themes:
1. Frozen Windows of Cathedrals
2. Frozen Food
The photo art on display is not software-generated. These are not computer creations but are
created with the use of Annelie’s photo archive, a tray, a freezer, a hammer, real vegetables,
printed transparencies, sunlight, or a light box.
