On Friday the US Supreme Court’s overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision that established the constitutional right to abortion some 50 years ago. Immediately after the ruling, abortion became illegal in 13 states, with more expected to follow suit.
This is part of a planned, sustained attack on human rights carried out by the conservative movement in the US. Bodily autonomy is a human right. Access to abortion is a human right.
We invite you to gather together to learn more about abortion access in our communities (in the US, Thailand, and beyond), and the broader context surrounding these sustained attacks on women’s rights and LGBT+ rights which are rooted in far-right white supremacist ideology.
Join us to watch the recently released flim ‘The Janes’ which is set in 1969, when abortion was illegal in Illinois. An underground operation arose in Chicago. At this moment, the film feels essential — it shows not just as a road map for civil disobedience but is is also testament to the kind of abortion storytelling that also now feels at risk. We have to learn from history, tell our stories, and speak up and take action.

One full-day workshop in a stunning Earth Home – a sustainable eco-friendly learning centre in San Sai District. You will create your own 100% natural tie-dye products from scratch – extract colours from leaves and wood! Learning how to cook traditional Thai food and dessert in a fun and friendly atmosphere using organic and locally-sourced ingredients. Visiting a national award-winning community museum.
9:00 meeting at Three Kings Monument. You wil be picked-up to go to the Earth Home (optionally you could go there directly, it is 30 mins outside the city).
9:30 arriving at the Earth Home. You will be doing your own natural tie-dye products from scratch – doing the first stage preps. Follow by Thai cooking class using organic locally-sourced ingredients.
13:00 After enjoying your yummy lunch. We will be finishing the final stage of the tie-dye process. Then visiting the award-winning community museum to see over 1000 pieces of rare artifacts, unique pieces of Thai culture from the past – refreshingly narrated by me with history game!
15:30-16:00 Returning to the Earth Home , collecting your tie-dye creations. Say good bye and heading back to the city, back to Three Kings Monument.
Cost 1,700 BAHT per person including transportation, lunch, water, and all equipments.
