In early 2020, after a period of deep personal upheaval, Thomas began listening more carefully to his dreams.
Night by night, images arose, seeming to offer guidance, protection, and insight.
Working with soft pastels on black paper, he began painting the dreams that felt most significant.
Over time, the paintings formed an evolving visual diary — a gentle unearthing of old pain and trauma, and the emergence of love, trust, strength, and wisdom.
This exhibition presents a selection of these works arranged in three movements:
Safety & Trust
Meeting Fear
Power & Wholeness
Though these works arise from deeply personal experience, many of the images, themes, and metaphors — along with the broader journey of transformation — reflect aspects of shared human experience.

วันวาเลนไทน์ปี 2026 นี้ หากคุณกำลังมองหาความรักในรูปแบบที่ลึกซึ้งกว่าดอกกุหลาบ เราขอชวนคุณมาร่วมค้นพบ “ความรักและการให้อภัยตัวเอง” ผ่านนิทรรศการศิลปะที่จะพาคุณดำดิ่งสู่โลกแห่งจิตใต้สำนึก ในงาน “Gifts of the Night An Exhibition of Dream Paintings” โดยศิลปิน Thomas Hurst

จุดเริ่มต้นจาก “ความโกลาหล” สู่ “การตื่นรู้”

ย้อนกลับไปในช่วงต้นปี 2020 ช่วงเวลาที่โลกภายนอกเต็มไปด้วยความวุ่นวาย และโลกภายในใจของ Thomas Hurst ก็กำลังเผชิญกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงครั้งใหญ่ (Deep Personal Upheaval) ในสภาวะที่ยากลำบากนั้น เขาเลือกที่จะหันกลับมาฟังเสียงที่แผ่วเบาที่สุด… นั่นคือเสียงจาก “ความฝัน”

ในทางจิตวิทยา (Jungian Psychology) ความฝันไม่ได้เป็นเพียงภาพลวงตา แต่คือ “สัญลักษณ์” ที่จิตใต้สำนึกพยายามสื่อสารกับเรา เพื่อชี้ทาง แก้ไขปม หรือเตือนภัย Thomas ได้จดบันทึกภาพเหล่านั้นคืนแล้วคืนเล่า จนกลายเป็นไดอารี่ทางสายตาที่เปี่ยมด้วยความหมาย

เทคนิคศิลปะ: แสงสว่างบนความมืด (Chiaroscuro of the Soul)

ความน่าสนใจของนิทรรศการนี้ไม่ได้อยู่ที่เรื่องราวเพียงอย่างเดียว แต่อยู่ที่เทคนิคการนำเสนอ ศิลปินเลือกใช้ “สีพาสเทลแบบนุ่ม (Soft Pastels)” ระบายลงบน “กระดาษสีดำสนิท”

• เกร็ดความรู้: การวาดบนกระดาษดำ เป็นเทคนิคที่ท้าทายและทรงพลัง สีดำเปรียบเสมือนความมืดมิดของยามค่ำคืนหรือความไม่รู้ (Unconscious) ส่วนสีพาสเทลที่แต้มลงไปเปรียบเสมือนแสงสว่างแห่งปัญญาและความหวังที่ผุดขึ้นมา การทำงานลักษณะนี้ช่วยขับเน้นอารมณ์ให้ดูลึกลับ นุ่มนวล แต่ทรงพลังในเวลาเดียวกัน

การเดินทาง 3 ห้วงอารมณ์ (The Three Movements)

นิทรรศการนี้ถูกจัดวางเรื่องราวเสมือนการเดินทางของจิตวิญญาณ แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ช่วงสำคัญ:

1. Safety & Trust (ความปลอดภัยและความไว้วางใจ): พื้นที่แรกเริ่มแห่งการเยียวยา สร้างรากฐานความมั่นคงทางใจ
2. Meeting Fear (เผชิญหน้าความกลัว): การก้าวข้าม “Shadow” หรือด้านมืดในจิตใจ ซึ่งเป็นขั้นตอนสำคัญของการเติบโต
3. Power & Wholeness (พลังและความสมบูรณ์): บทสรุปของการบูรณาการบาดแผลให้กลายเป็นความเข้มแข็งและปัญญา

แม้งานชุดนี้จะเกิดจากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวของศิลปิน แต่เชื่อแน่ว่าผู้ชมจะสามารถสัมผัสถึง “ประสบการณ์ร่วมของความเป็นมนุษย์” (Shared Human Experience) เพราะเราต่างก็เคยเจ็บปวด เคยฝัน และเคยต้องลุกขึ้นยืนใหม่อีกครั้งเช่นกัน

มาร่วมเปิดกล่องของขวัญจากรัตติกาล ที่จะทำให้คุณเข้าใจ “ฝัน” ของตัวเองมากขึ้น

ปีนี้กลับมาในแนวคิด “จินตนากร“ ซึ่งมาจากคำ 2 คำ คือ
จินตนา = ความคิด จินตนาการ ภาพในใจ
กร = ผู้กระทำ ผู้สร้าง ผู้ทำให้เกิดขึ้น
ดังนั้น จินตนากร จึงหมายถึงบุคคลผู้ใช้จินตนาการเป็นพลังหลักในการคิด สร้างสรรค์ผ่านผลงานศิลปะไทย เป็นผู้ที่ไม่เพียงแค่ฝันแต่ลงมือทำให้ฝันมีตัวตน จึงขอเชิญทุกท่านเปิดใจและปล่อยให้จินตนาการของตน ได้เดินทางไปพร้อมกับนิทรรศการนี้

About the Exhibition
“Dynamics : Jintanagorn” is a group exhibition organized by the Contemporary Thai Art Program, Thai Art and Creative Culture, Department of Thai Art, Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University

This year, the exhibition returns under the concept of “Jintanagorn,” a term derived from two Thai words:
Jintana — imagination
Gorn — the one who brings things into being
Together, Jintanagorn refers to individuals who employ imagination as a vital driving force in thinking and creating through Contemporary Thai Art. It signifies those who do not merely dream, but actively transform imagination into tangible forms
This exhibition invites viewers to open their minds and allow their own imagination to journey alongside the artworks presented within this space

“พลวัต : จินตนากร” – เมื่อจินตนาการไม่ได้เป็นเพียงความฝัน แต่คือพลังสร้างสรรค์ที่ไม่หยุดนิ่ง

ท่ามกลางกระแสความเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลก ศิลปะไทยยังคง “เคลื่อนไหว” และ “เติบโต” อย่างสง่างาม… ขอเชิญทุกท่านร่วมสัมผัสปรากฏการณ์ทางสุนทรียภาพในนิทรรศการ “พลวัต : จินตนากร” (Dynamics : Jintanagorn) นิทรรศการครั้งสำคัญที่รวบรวมอัตลักษณ์และจิตวิญญาณของศิลปินรุ่นใหม่และคณาจารย์ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ

นิยามแห่ง “จินตนากร”: ผู้เปลี่ยนภาพฝันให้มีลมหายใจ

นิทรรศการในปีนี้กลับมาอย่างยิ่งใหญ่ภายใต้แนวคิด “จินตนากร” ซึ่งเป็นการหลอมรวมกันของคำอันทรงพลัง:

• จินตนา: มวลความคิด จินตนาการ และภาพร่างในส่วนลึกของจิตใจ
• กร: ผู้ลงมือกระทำ ผู้รังสรรค์ และผู้ทำให้สิ่งนั้นเกิดขึ้นจริง

จินตนากร จึงไม่ใช่เพียงศิลปิน แต่คือ “ผู้ขับเคลื่อนจินตนาการ” ให้กลายเป็นรูปธรรมผ่านงานศิลปะไทยร่วมสมัย (Contemporary Thai Art) ซึ่งเป็นการหยิบเอาต้นทุนทางวัฒนธรรมมาตีความใหม่ ให้สอดรับกับบริบทของสังคมปัจจุบัน

พื้นที่แห่งการบรรจบระหว่าง “รากเหง้า” และ “อนาคต”
นิทรรศการครั้งนี้ถือเป็นครั้งที่ 4 โดยกลุ่มวิชาศิลปะไทยร่วมสมัย สาขาวิชาศิลปะไทยและวัฒนธรรมสร้างสรรค์ ภาควิชาศิลปะไทย คณะวิจิตรศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ แหล่งบ่มเพาะศิลปินที่ขึ้นชื่อเรื่องการผสมผสานทักษะเชิงช่างแบบประเพณีเข้ากับความคิดสร้างสรรค์ระดับสากล

ท่านจะได้พบกับผลงานที่หลากหลาย ทั้งเทคนิคแบบดั้งเดิมที่ประณีต ไปจนถึงสื่อผสมที่ทลายขีดจำกัดเดิม ๆ ของคำว่า “ศิลปะไทย”

CURATORIAL STATEMENT
I PAINT IT BLACK 1999 is the most personal solo exhibition by young artist Chayanon Jaihan, alias THE 1999, in which he gives us a glimpse into his innermost being and deals with his pain in a raw, open, unsparing and radical manner.
Chayanon is currently going through a very painful phase in his life and reveals himself to us exactly as he feels: lonely, sad and lost. Again and again, dark (self-)portraits and semi-abstract images, painted on whatever was available at the time. It is the fragility, fragmentation and incompleteness of the works that fascinate us.
The artist is dealing with the impending death of his beloved mother, who is dying of cancer. He feels powerless and can only be there, holding her hand, caring for her and feeding her. And he transforms his pain and grief into art.
This show also provides insight into the daily struggle of this talented artist, who is trying to survive, sometimes not knowing how to pay the rent, with no money for art supplies and nothing to eat. But driven by the desire to create works that arise from an inner urge and reflect his true feelings.
Chayanon shares his fate with many of his generation. His dark, very personal images speak a universal language.
There is nothing we would rather ignore than the transience of the world around us. Yet we are confronted with it from time to time. How do we deal with the awareness that something is irretrievably lost? People who disappear from our lives, whom we love more than anything else?
How can you go on when you are far away from home, cope with loss when the loneliness is too great, when there is no one there to listen or sleep next to you or even hold your hand, and your body aches from crying, when in the loneliness of distance the memories are too vague and the longing for comfort grows?
Chayanon Jaihan realises at this stage in his life that he is lost, and that is a positive thing, because only those who can admit it will find something, and he will certainly find it.

I PAINT IT BLACK1999 คือ นิทรรศการเดี่ยวของศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ ชญานนท์ ใจหาญ ที่สะท้อนถึงตัวตนของศิลปินมากที่สุด ในนาม THE 1999 — บทเปิดใจที่เปลือยความรู้สึกอย่างหมดเปลือก เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ชมได้เห็นถึงตัวตนที่ลึกที่สุดของศิลปิน ถ่ายทอดผ่านความรู้สึกของการต่อสู้กับความเจ็บปวด อย่างตรงไปตรงมาไม่ปิดบังด้วยวิธีการที่สุดโต่ง ราวกับพาเราดำดิ่งสู่ห้วงลึกของจิตวิญญาณ จนสัมผัสได้ถึงลมหายใจแห่งความจริง
ในตอนนี้ชญานนท์กำลังเผชิญบททดสอบแห่งชีวิตที่หนักหน่วงที่สุด เขาเผยให้เห็นถึงความรู้สึกที่แท้จริง—ความเดียวดาย ความเศร้า และการหลงทางซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า ผลงานของเขาปรากฏเป็นภาพเหมือนตนเองและภาพกึ่งนามธรรมอันหม่นมืด สร้างสรรค์ลงบนวัสดุที่พอจะหาได้รายล้อมตัวเขาในขณะนั้น ทว่ามันกลับสะท้อนถึงความบอบบาง ความแหว่งวิ่น และความไม่สมบูรณ์ในชิ้นงานนั้นเอง กลับกลายเป็นเสน่ห์ที่ดึงดูดสายตาและความรู้สึกของผู้ชม
เบื้องหลังภาพเหล่านี้ คือการที่ศิลปินเฝ้ามองชีวิตของมารดาผู้เป็นที่รักค่อย ๆ เลือนหายจากโลกด้วยโรคมะเร็ง เขาไม่อาจทำอะไรได้มากไปกว่าการคอยอยู่เคียงข้าง จับมือ ป้อนอาหาร และดูแลเธอทุกลมหายใจที่เหลืออยู่ ในขณะที่ความเจ็บปวดเหล่านั้นถูกกลั่นกรองและไหลรินออกมาเป็นงานศิลปะ
นิทรรศการนี้ยังเผยให้เห็นการดิ้นรนในชีวิตประจำวันของศิลปินผู้มีพรสวรรค์ ซึ่งในบางเวลาตัวเขาเองไม่รู้ด้วยซ้ำว่าจะจ่ายค่าเช่าในแต่ละเดือนได้อย่างไร ไม่มีทุนสำหรับวัสดุในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน และแม้แต่การทานอาหารในแต่ละมื้อยังเป็นเรื่องยากเย็น แต่ด้วยแรงปรารถนาที่จะสร้างสรรค์ผลงานจากแรงผลักดันที่อยู่ลึกภายในจิตใจยังคงขับเคลื่อนเขาอยู่ งานที่ซื่อสัตย์ต่อความรู้สึกของเขาก็ยังคงโหมแรงอยู่เสมอ
ชญานนท์มิได้เดินอยู่เพียงลำพังในเส้นทางนี้ เขาแบ่งปันชะตากรรมร่วมกับคนรุ่นเดียวกันอีกมากมาย ผลงานของเขา แม้จะสะท้อนถึงอารมณ์ส่วนตัว แต่ความมืดมนของงานกลับถูกบอกผ่านงานศิลปะเป็นภาษาที่ทุกคนเข้าใจได้
เราทุกคนล้วนอยากหลีกหนีจากความไม่จีรังของสิ่งรอบตัว ทว่ากลับพบเจอมันอยู่เสมอ เราจะรับมืออย่างไร เมื่อรู้ว่าบางสิ่งจะสูญสิ้นไปอย่างไม่มีวันกลับ โดยเฉพาะเมื่อสิ่งที่หายไปจากชีวิตเราตลอดการคือผู้คนที่เรารักเหนือสิ่งใด

ชญานนท์ ใจหาญ เกิดความตระหนักในห้วงชีวิตนี้ได้ว่าว่าเขากำลัง “หลงทาง” ทว่าสิ่งเหล่านี้กลับเป็นเรื่องที่งดงาม เพราะมีเพียงแต่ผู้ที่ยอมรับในสิ่งนี้ได้เท่านั้น จึงจะค้นพบบางสิ่ง และเขาก็จะพบมันอย่างแน่นอน

BIOGRAPHY
CHAYANON JAIHAN (ชญานนท์ ใจหาญ) alias THE 1999 Chayanon Jaihan (Ham) alias THE 1999, born in 1999, currently lives and works in Buengkan Province, Isaan. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Naresuan University in Phitsanulok, specialising in painting. Since 2024, he has been running his own art space called THE 1999 Art Gallery, which serves as both a studio and an exhibition space and where he also offers art lessons.
ชญานนท์ ใจหาญ หรือที่รู้จักในนาม “แฮม” และใช้นามศิลปินว่า THE 1999 เกิดเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2542 ปัจจุบันอาศัยและสร้างสรรค์ผลงานอยู่ในจังหวัดบึงกาฬ ภูมิภาคอีสาน สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี สาขาจิตรกรรม จากมหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร จังหวัดพิษณุโลก ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2567 เป็นต้นมา ชยานนท์ได้ก่อตั้งและดำเนินงาน THE 1999 Art Gallery ซึ่งเป็นทั้งพื้นที่สร้างสรรค์ผลงาน สถานที่จัดแสดงศิลปะ และรับสอนศิลปะแก่บุคคลทั่วไป

สล่า คำว่า “สล่า” (อ่านว่า สะ-หล่า) ในภาษาเหนือ หมายถึง ช่างหรือผู้เชี่ยวชาญในงานฝีมือเฉพาะด้าน เช่น งานไม้ งานแกะสลัก หรืองานศิลปะอื่นๆ ในบริบทของล้านนา “สล่า” มีบทบาทสำคัญในการสร้างสรรค์และอนุรักษ์สถาปัตยกรรมและศิลปวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น อย่างไรก็ตาม ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับสล่าและกระบวนการก่อสร้างสถาปัตยกรรมล้านนายังมีการรวบรวมไม่มากนัก

เพื่อสืบสานภูมิปัญญาของสล่าล้านนา มีการจัดตั้งพิพิธภัณฑ์ภูมิปัญญาสล่าสิบหมู่ล้านนาที่วัดศรีสุพรรณ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ พิพิธภัณฑ์นี้จัดแสดงงานฝีมือของสล่าล้านนาด้านต่างๆ เช่น เครื่องเงิน เครื่องเขิน เพื่อเผยแพร่ความรู้และอนุรักษ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น

นอกจากนี้ สล่ายังมีบทบาทในการสร้างและซ่อมแซมเครื่องดนตรีพื้นเมืองล้านนา เช่น สะล้อ ซึง และเครื่องดนตรีอื่นๆ ทำให้เสียงดนตรีล้านนายังคงดังก้องกังวานไปทั่วดินแดนล้านนา

ดังนั้น “สล่า” จึงเป็นบุคคลสำคัญที่สืบสานและอนุรักษ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมล้านนาให้คงอยู่สืบไป

Writers Together Tuesday Meetup

on Tuesday 9 May 2023 Starting 13.00

at Yellow Coworking

Each week we begin the meetup with a short welcome of each person. We then write together but silently in the conference room for 45 minutes.
This is followed by an open (often creative) conversation before we start to write again for another 40 or 45 minutes.
We end the group with a second open conversation around a topic that any one of us might initiate.
Often, afterward, we socialize in the garden at Yellow.
Many who join us find these couple of hours each week friendly, unusually productive, creative and focused.
You’re welcome to join us no matter what you’re writing – from a journal to a memoir to a novel, or simply a task that you’re stuck on that you’d like to move forward on.
The Meetup is held at Yellow Co-Working Space in the conference room on the bottom floor. There will be no fee and no requirement to be a member of Yellow
Co-Working Space to join us. All Writers at any level, writing in any genre or style are most welcome.
Since the group began it’s been a grounded, productive and fun Chiang Mai event that now averages between 20 and 30 people attending. We look forward to meeting and writing with you! See you Tuesday.

งานนิทรรศการนี้เป็นการแสดงผลงานจิตรกรรมแบบนามธรรมของSuteera Kaewfanที่สนใจในศิลปะการฟ้อน”เจิง“ซึ่งเป็นซึ่งเป็นการฟ้อนหรือการแสดงอย่างหนึ่งของภาคเหนือที่มีลวดลายลีลามาจากศิลปะการต่อของล้านนา มาสร้างเป็นผลงานจิตรกรรม และ Siwawong Rakwongwarit ที่สร้างรูปแบบกระบวนการในการสร้างงานศิลปะเพื่อแสดงแล้วเป็นเครื่องมือแห่งการสังเกตสภาวะต่างๆในตนจนเป็นผลงานศิลปะผ่านการใช้ทัศนะธาตุพื้นอย่าง เส้น สี ค่านำหนัก รูปทรง

BangLee Everything Everywhere – a solo Exhibition by Anuwat Apimukmongkonn

BangLee Everything Everywhere”
is an attempt to imagine Bang Lee (medium and soulmate of the artist) in different multiverses. Anuwat Apimukmongkon takes us on a journey of discovery and lets us participate. In doing so, he raises universal questions that I’m sure each of us has asked ourselves at one time or another. What would it be like to be someone else? Could we escape our suffering and nightmares, would we be happier and more content? Would we become better people? Is the idea of another universe perhaps more than a dream, and if so, what can we hope for? This exhibition is a journey through a fictitious universe, let our imaginations run free before we return to our world, which we see in the best case then with other eyes and in which we are then perhaps also happier.

เป็นความพยายามที่จะแสดงถึง Bang Lee (เนื้อคู่ของศิลปิน) ในพหุภพต่างๆ
อนุวัฒน์ อภิมุขมงคล จะนำพาท่านไปในเส้นทางแห่งการค้นพบ เช่นนี้ เขาได้ตั้งคําถามขึ้นมาและผมมั่นใจว่าพวกเราแต่ละคนก็เคยถามตัวเองด้วยคำถามแบบนี้มาก่อน ไม่ว่าทางได้ก็ทางหนึ่ง อย่างเช่น มันจะรู้สึกอย่างไรเมื่อเรากลายเป็นคนอื่น เราสามารถหลบหนีความทุกข์ทรมานและฝันร้ายของเราได้ไหม เราจะมีความสุขและพอใจมากขึ้นหรือไม่ เราจะเป็นคนที่ดีขึ้นได้หรือไม่ จักรวาลอื่นอาจจะมีอยู่จริงก็ได้ และถ้ามันมีอยู่จริง เราควรจะคาดหวังอะไรจากมัน
นิทรรศการนี้เป็นการเดินทางผ่านจักรวาลสมมติ ปลดปล่อยให้จินตนาการของเราโลดเเล่นไปอย่างอิสระ ก่อนที่เราจะกลับสู่โลกของความเป็นจริง ซึ่งมันดีที่สุดแล้ว และในตอนนั้นเราอาจจะมีความสุขมากขึ้นด้วยก็ได้
Biography
Anuwat Apimukmongkon, born 1995 in Trang, lives and works in Pattani. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Prince of Songkla University, Pattani.
Since then he has had numerous solo and group exhibitions and has also made a name for himself as a curator. Most recently, he curated the Patani Art Festival KENDURI SENI NUSANTARA 2022. His works are represented in renowned private collections as well as museum collections in Thailand.
ชีวประวัติ
อนุวัฒน์ อภิมุขมงคล (Anuwat Apimukmongkon) เกิดเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2538 ที่จังหวัดตรัง อาศัยและทำงานในจังหวัดปัตตานี สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีศิลปกรรมศาสตร์จากมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี ตั้งแต่นั้นมา เขาได้จัดนิทรรศการเดี่ยวและกลุ่มมากมายทั่วเอเชีย และยังได้สร้างชื่อให้กับตนเองในฐานะภัณฑารักษ์อีกด้วย ล่าสุดเขาได้เป็นผู้ดูแลภายในงาน Patani Art Festival “Kenduri Seni Nusantara” ในปี พ.ศ. 2565 ผลงานของเขามีชื่อเสียงทั้งในคอลเลคชั่นส่วนตัวและคอลเลคชั่นในพิพิธภัณฑ์
